Today, our eighth cycling day, was the first one that was
completely inland, with no stretch along the coast. The day was full of picturesque
towns and beautiful countryside. The ride ended in the seaside town of Karatsu,
on the north shore of Kyushu Island. Our destination hotel, the Seaside Hotel,
is in a spectacular setting, on the beach with an amazing view of Karatsu Bay.
